Avocado Jalapeno Crunchwrap Burger

avocado jalapeno crunchwrap burger

You know the crunchwrap from Taco Bell? Yeah, that's what this is only with a burger and creamy avocado and cheese with just a dash of spicy jalapeno hot sauce. This recipe can be easily modified to your tastes and is super simple to make. Also it is a great alternative when you don't have hamburger buns.

Start by making your burger however you like it, you can use beef, turkey, or even a veggie burger. Cook it on the stove, grill, or George Foreman.

Next prep your ingredients then assemble your crunchwrap. Start with avocado, then cheese, hot sauce, then burger. Then fold up the sides in about 5-6 places.

Using a flat sided panini press or stove top, cook until golden brown.

Ingredients

[Serves 4]

Burger

1 pound ground turkey or beef

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tsp worcestershire sauce

1/2 tsp onion powder

Crunchwrap

4 medium tortillas

1 avocado mashed

1/4 cup mozzarella cheese (or dairy free alternative)

Jalapeno hot sauce to taste

Directions

  1. In a large bowl add your meat, worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper, and onion powder. Mix it all together using your hands. Form 4 patties.

  2. Cook your burgers on the stove, grill, or George Foreman. I cooked mine on the stove. Set them aside to cool for a few minutes.

  3. Next mash your avocado and get your other ingredients ready.

  4. Lay out a tortilla then add avocado in the center about the size of your burger.

  5. Then add a tablespoon of cheese and a couple dashes of your hot sauce on top of the avocado.

  6. Next place the burger on top and then start folding in the sides, about 5-6 folds (see pictures above).

  7. Heat your panini press or skillet to medium heat, when it is hot add the wraps with the folds down and cook for about 5-10 minutes or until golden brown.

  8. Enjoy!
