Homemade Dairy Free Ranch Seasoning Mix

Dairy free ranch seasoning mix

This seasoning mix is the closest thing to that authentic ranch flavor, without using milk powder. With a large variety of dried herbs such as dill and chives, along with onion and garlic, this combination makes for the perfect dairy free addition to chicken, roasted veggies, pasta dishes, dips, and more.

I like to use freeze dried chives and dill for this recipe, they have more preserved flavor than regular dried chives and dill. You can find these near the fresh herbs in the refrigerated produce section.

Nutritional yeast is the replacement ingredient for milk powder. It add that cheesy, dairy like flavor without adding the actual dairy. Nutritional yeast is rich in several vitamin B sources and other vitamins and minerals. It also contains all nine essential amino acids, making it a complete protein.

You can leave this ingredient out of the mix if you don't have it on hand, but it does help create that ranch flavor while adding additional health benefits.

All you have to do is measure out all your ingredients and mix them together. Store in the fridge if you used freeze dried herbs and nutritional yeast for best freshness.

Add to chicken, roasted veggies, pasta dishes, or dips.

Ingredients

[Replaces 1 ranch seasoning packet]

1 Tbsp nutritional yeast

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp dried parsley

1 1/2 tsp freeze dried chives

1 tsp freeze dried dill

1/2 tsp salt (may need an additional 1/2 tsp salt depending on what it is being added to)

1/4 tsp pepper

Directions

  1. Measure out all your herbs and seasonings then mix together! Replaces one packet of ranch seasoning mix in any recipe.

  2. Add to chicken, roasted veggies, pasta dishes, dips, and more. Or save for later in the fridge for best freshness.
